The result was 8-2 to the Ladies. Unfortunately, Captain Paul was unable to play due to injury but was there supporting the team.

 

The noteworthy performances were a fine 3&2 win by Derry Lewis and Tony Payne in the last match. Roger Beavis and Tony Scott halved as did Colin Tungate and Bob Ellis.

 

The rest of the team will have to report for winter training after Christmas!

It was a not the end of the playing season that Captain Paul was hoping for. Not only was he was optimistic for a win in his last match as Captain, but also because Lady Captain Judith also plays at Castle Royle and is sure to rub it in every time she sees him at the club!
