Sad to report that, with Match Secretary Tony Payne, enjoying a well-deserved break, Berkshire Captains went down to another

7 - 1 defeat ... this time to their Wiltshire counterparts at

Wrag Barn GC.

To be fair, several of the "Royal Stag Team" were playing the challenging course for the first time and found themselves up against a significant number of single figure handicappers, who delivered on the day. Furthermore, it is worth pointing out that five of the eight matches were resolved on the last two holes, and that "Tail End Charlies" Roger Wing and David Wylie, restored some pride with a 5 and 4 victory.

Overall, a valiant effort Gentlemen and a big, big thank you to Wiltshire for their usual friendship and hospitality,

on and off the course.
