A great day was enjoyed by all at a dry and sunny Calcot Park. It’s pleasing to note that the course is recovering well from the drainage work, installation of a  new watering system and  the summer drought. Three Captains helped make up the numbers by playing for the Secretaries. 

 

The match result was a 3-1 win for the Captains.

Captain Paul and President Clem led from the front, holding on for a 1 up win despite Castle Royle’s Fraser Bown birdieing the last 2 holes. The Secretaries’ only win was mainly down to the peerless Gary Stangoe, Reading, who eagled the 2nd and 10th having driven both par fours.
